By offering SAT prep, students have the opportunity to maximize their exam score. Whether your student wants to attend prep test sessions throughout the year or needs to schedule private SAT and ACT tutoring sessions, Valencia offers the prep they need to succeed on their entrance exams.

PSAT / SAT Prep

Our PSAT and SAT prep is available for both juniors and seniors and can be taken during the Spring, but we also recommended SAT and ACT tutoring during the Summer as well. This will give your student even more time to prepare for their test, ensuring that their test scores will reflect their hard work and dedication.

SAT Prep

SAT Prep offers personalized instruction to prepare RISING SENIORS AND JUNIORS for college entrance tests. Students should prepare over summer and take the SAT in the fall.

We support each student for maximum success in completing classes for High School Graduation.

Students wishing to maximize their test score should consider Test Prep for College Entrance Exams at Valencia Tutors Learning Center. Our test prep team covers all SAT / ACT / PSAT sections thoroughly and offers test taking tips and strategies to maximize scores on testing content. We know that each student has different strengths and weaknesses in testing areas, so we offer flexible approaches enabling possible score gains for these highly competitive tests. Students may attend Test Prep sessions throughout the year and also schedule private sessions with our Test Prep Specialist to focus on specific sections or areas of difficulty.

PRACTICE EXAMS & DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

Parents are encouraged to have their student take PRACTICE exams and find the “best fit test. “There is a common myth that universities prefer one over the other but this is not true. The SAT and ACT are very different from one another and understanding the test taking skills of your student will assist in navigating this very important decision. The best way to prepare is through a directed study plan which addresses the specific needs of students.

Before your student begins their SAT / ACT / PSAT Test Prep… consider taking a full length diagnostic practice test. This allows Valencia Tutors SAT Prep Teachers to access your child’s strengths and weaknesses throughout different areas of the test. It also provides a baseline to see how much improvement was gained throughout the test prep session.

Additional Course Details

NUMBER OF STUDENTS

Classes that become too full or a minimum number of students are re-directed to an alternate section.

INSTRUCTIONAL PACING

Students are required to maintain certain competency levels. If levels are not maintained, the student must attend on Fridays 1:00 – 3:00 PM to reinforce educational concepts and get back on pace level.

FRIDAY CLASSES

2 Hours of instruction time is offered each and every Friday. * Additional cost for Friday instruction. This is beneficial to students who need to get back on pace or students who seek to improve their understanding of a subject and also prepare for exams.

ATTENDANCE

Courses are taught at an accelerated pace during the summer. Missed sessions significantly impact progress and success. Any missed classes MUST be made-up on Friday of the same week.

MISSED CLASSES

Students are required to make-up classes on Fridays. * Additional cost for missed classes.
